Causes of Rosacea
Although the exact cause is unknown, rosacea is an inflammatory skin condition that causes dilation of the blood vessels. It can be exacerbated by alcohol, spicy foods, exercise, anxiety, or anything else that triggers inflammation. In fact, it is this increased blood flow near your skin’s surface that gives rosacea its sunburned appearance. Acne-like bumps, red or pink patches, and broken capillaries can also be symptoms.
Facial veins can also become more prominent due to rosacea, although they can also be caused by excessive sun or wind exposure, alcohol consumption and hormonal or genetic factors.

We use proven, powerful Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and 1064 Nd:YAG laser treatments, which have demonstrated long lasting results in reducing the symptoms of rosacea.
The LimeLight IPL laser is ideal for getting rid of the “broken” or hyper-reactive blood vessels that cause your skin to turn red so easily. Laser Genesis is an advanced 1064nm Nd:YAG laser designed to penetrate more deeply than previous rosacea therapies. It eliminates any feeder blood vessels responsible for causing persistent blushing. Once they are removed along with troublesome spider veins and red bumps, rosacea flare-ups will be reduced dramatically.

Rosacea Treatment Results
Immediately after your laser therapy session, the treated areas of your skin might actually appear red or slightly swollen. However, this is a normal reaction to the treatments and will subside within a few hours.
